LHH is assisting a Dallas law firm seek a Patent Prosecution Docketing Paralegal. The Patent Prosecution Docketing Paralegal performs highly detailed and complex docketing tasks related to the patent prosecution process. The role requires strong accuracy, time management, and the ability to work within a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. The candidate will interact regularly with attorneys, paralegals, clients, and docketing leadership.

- Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
The paralegal must be able to perform the following duties:
- Follow applicable ethical rules (Texas Bar, USPTO) and firm professional liability requirements.
- Maintain the IP docketing database; review and extract key data from incoming correspondence.
- Track and calculate patent prosecution deadlines based on PTO rules and client-specific requirements.
- Verify, process, and docket filings and other prosecution activity.
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure dockets are accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Coordinate daily docketing tasks with team members to ensure full coverage.
- Support overall patent prosecution docketing workflow and assist with related tasks.
- Maintain punctual and reliable attendance.
- Work occasional overtime when necessary to meet workload demands.
- Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong organizational abilities and experience managing multiple deadlines

- Ability to calculate deadlines precisely
- Skilled in proofreading for grammar, context, and accuracy

The firm uses PerfectLaw in addition to standard Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience & Education Requirements
- Bachelor???s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years of patent prosecution experience (specifically docketing or paralegal work)
- Strong preference for candidates with stable work histories and long-term tenure
- Must have solid foundational paralegal and/or docketing experience in patent prosecution

- Work Hours, Location & Flexibility
- Work hours options:
- 7:30 AM ??? 4:30 PM
- 9:00 AM ??? 6:00 PM
- Overtime available but generally limited

- Strong communication is expected regardless of location
