LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a highly regarded patent counseling firm seeking a Patent Agent to join its growing practice. This is a 100% remote opportunity open to candidates nationwide.
Position Details
- Location: 100% Remote – open to all U.S. time zones
- Salary: $120,000–$150,000 , depending on experience
- Experience: 2–6 years of patent prosecution experience
- Technical Background: Open to a variety of backgrounds, including Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Software, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, and related disciplines
Responsibilities
- Draft patent applications for filing with the USPTO
- Prosecute U.S. patent applications and conduct Examiner interviews
- Work directly with inventors and attorneys to develop and refine claim strategies
- Independently manage a patent prosecution docket
- Support clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies
- Assist with additional patent counseling matters, including freedom-to-operate analyses, patent landscapes, due diligence, and noninfringement/invalidity opinions
Qualifications
- 2–6 years of patent prosecution experience
- USPTO registration
- Relevant technical or scientific degree
- Strong academic background; 3.0 undergraduate GPA preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple matters and deadlines
- Strong client-service skills and a collaborative approach
