LHH is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy team handling complex commercial and civil litigation matters. The ideal candidate brings 2–5 years of relevant experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume workflow with accuracy and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Maintain litigation calendars, including deadlines, hearings, depositions, meetings, and court-related dates under Florida and Federal civil procedure rules.
- Organize and save all case-related documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Maintain both electronic and paper client files.
- E-file pleadings through the Florida Courts E-Portal and Federal CM/ECF; ensure timely service to all parties.
- Coordinate with courts regarding scheduling and hearing arrangements.
- Schedule and confirm depositions, hearings, and meetings; coordinate with court reporters.
- Save and organize deposition transcripts, exhibits, and video files.
- Communicate with clients, experts, and witnesses to coordinate meetings and appearances.
- Draft notices of hearings, notices of deposition, and other basic litigation documents.
- Provide support to paralegals as needed.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in commercial or civil litigation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Working knowledge of Florida Courts E-Portal and Federal CM/ECF preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Professional communication skills and a proactive work style.
