Legal Assistant
Salary: $40,000 - $55,000/year DOE

LHH is seeking a Legal Assistant Floater to join a respected law firm in the Neenah area. This role offers a unique opportunity to support attorneys and legal staff across multiple practice areas while serving as a key resource for overflow work, coverage needs, and special projects. The position will provide primary support to one attorney and their paralegal while also assisting other members of the legal team as needed.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with legal assistant experience, a recent paralegal graduate, or an administrative professional looking to grow within the legal field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals.
- Serve as the primary support resource for one attorney and their paralegal team.
- Prepare, edit, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and other materials.
- Assist with electronic filing, document management, and maintaining organized client files.
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, deadlines, and other scheduling needs.
- Support billing processes, including time entry, expense tracking, and invoice coordination.
- Deliver professional and confidential client service through written and verbal communications.
- Assist with overflow assignments, special projects, and cross-functional office support.
- Provide coverage during staff absences and help ensure continuity of daily operations.
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to maintain efficient workflows and high-quality service.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of legal assistant experience preferred.
- Recent paralegal graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Administrative experience within a professional services environment will also be considered.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong proofreading and document management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal technology systems.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
