Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support a fast-paced, growing organization within the food and beverage industry. This role will partner closely with leadership and operations to drive HR initiatives, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity based in Irvine, offering the chance to make an immediate impact while positioning for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as a strategic partner to business leaders on all HR-related topics including employee relations, performance management, and organizational development
• Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee issues, conflict resolution, and best practices
• Support workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning initiatives
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on hiring strategies and workforce needs
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies
• Lead or support HR projects such as engagement initiatives, policy updates, and process improvements
• Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to leadership to support decision-making
• Assist with investigations, documentation, and resolution of employee relations matters
• Partner with cross-functional teams including payroll, benefits, and legal as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a Business Partner or similar role
• Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or food and beverage environments strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR compliance
• Proven ability to influence and build relationships with leadership
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Preferred Qualifications
• HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar)
• Experience in a multi-site or operationally driven environment
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and data reporting
