Are you a hands-on fleet leader who came up through the mechanic side of the business?

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing South Florida organization to hire a Fleet Manager responsible for a fleet of nearly 100 trucks, distributed equipment, shop operations, and a team of mechanics.

This is a player-coach leadership role for someone who can manage the operation but still knows how to diagnose problems, guide complex repairs, and speak the language of experienced mechanics.

🔧 What You’ll Own

• Lead fleet maintenance, repair, and shop operations
• Manage and develop a team of 4–5 mechanics
• Oversee preventive maintenance for trucks and equipment
• Ensure DOT compliance, inspections, vehicle records, titles, registrations, and documentation
• Manage parts inventory, vendors, tools, budgets, and purchasing
• Recommend equipment replacement and capital purchases
• Drive shop safety, productivity, and equipment training

🎯 What We’re Looking For

• Strong mechanic background with gas and diesel engine experience
• Approximately 5 years of relevant fleet/mechanical experience preferred
• Prior leadership or team-lead experience
• Spanish proficiency required
• Hands-on knowledge of fleet maintenance and equipment repair
• ASE and/or diesel certifications strongly preferred
• Experience with commercial trucks, heavy equipment, landscaping equipment, or similar fleets is highly relevant
