LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an event planner with 5 or more years of experience for a contract opportunity with our client who is a well-established business consulting organization. This position is hybrid in New York, NY or Washington DC. This is a great role that offers the opportunity to work with a results-oriented and dedicated team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead event project management from initial concept development and pre-planning through on-site execution.
• Identify, evaluate, and source event venues by conducting research and RFPs, and recommend suitable options across hotels/resorts, restaurants, bars/lounges, and unique event spaces.
• Oversee end-to-end event logistics throughout the planning process, including timelines; attendee communications, invitations, and registration/RSVP management; hotel room blocks; list management; transportation; food and beverage; space planning and room setups; speaker coordination; AV and production and more.
• Develop and oversee event budgets, monitor expenses throughout the planning process, and review and process vendor invoices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hotels, restaurants, and other third-party vendors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related fields.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Budgeting/cost tracking experience required.
• InterAction or other CRM experience required.
• Advanced negotiation skills with demonstrated experience in hotel and restaurant contracting.
• Extensive experience in planning high-end dinners at top restaurants with a strong knowledge of leading restaurants, chefs and sommeliers.
• Proven expertise in negotiating and executing hotel and restaurant contracts.

Experience:

• 5 years of experience in meetings and event management

Employment Type: 6 month contract

Compensation: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
