Director of Internal Audit

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Director of Internal Audit to lead an organization’s internal audit function, ensuring robust governance, risk management, and compliance. This role is responsible for developing and executing audit strategies that align with business objectives, managing a team of auditors, and providing insights to senior leadership and the Audit Committee.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all internal audit activities, including operational, financial, and technology audits.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive audit plan aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and assess key risks, recommending improvements to internal controls and processes.
• Present audit findings and strategic recommendations to senior management and the Audit Committee.
• Manage and mentor the internal audit team, ensuring professional development and high performance.
• Collaborate with compliance, risk management, and legal teams to strengthen governance frameworks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CIA, or similar certification preferred.
• Extensive experience in internal audit leadership, ideally within complex organizations.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

Compensation:

$150,000- $190,000
