Consolidation Manager
Location: New York City (Hybrid – 3 Days In Office)
$145k - $150k plus disc bonus

Position Summary
The Consolidation Manager will be responsible for preparing and overseeing the consolidated financial statements for a portfolio of domestic and international entities. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this individual will act as the subject matter expert for consolidation accounting, financial reporting, and technical accounting matters.
While day-to-day transactional accounting is decentralized and performed by each subsidiary (with the exception of one operating entity), this individual will play a critical role in reviewing subsidiary financial information, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, identifying inconsistencies, and providing accounting guidance to business leaders throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to influence stakeholders in an advisory capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for domestic and international entities.
- Review subsidiary financial statements and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Analyze financial results and perform detailed analytical reviews to identify unusual trends, discrepancies, and reporting issues.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and advisory support to subsidiary finance teams regarding accounting treatment and reporting matters.
- Review intercompany transactions and ensure proper elimination entries are recorded.
- Lead the consolidation process, including foreign currency translation and multi-entity reporting.
- Coordinate and support external audit requirements and requests.
- Develop and maintain consolidation schedules, reporting packages, and financial reporting controls.
- Evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and increased efficiency.
- Partner with finance leadership to strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities related to the consolidation process.
- Assist with special projects, acquisitions, integrations, and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience with significant exposure to:
Multi-entity consolidations. Financial reporting, Transactional accounting, Technical accounting research and application
Excellent work-life balance.
Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office.
Team members are in the office on Tuesday and Thursday, with the flexibility to choose the third in-office day.
