Job Title: Project Accounting / AP Specialist (Contract – 4 Months)
Location: Cranbury, NJ (100% On-Site)
Compensation: $30–$35/hour
Start Date: Immediate
About the Opportunity:
A well-established organization is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative accounting professional to join their team on a 4-month contract assignment. This is a fully on-site role offering hands-on exposure to project accounting, accounts payable, and job costing in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support job costing functions, including data entry and maintenance within the job cost system
- Partner with Project Managers to ensure accurate tracking of project financials
- Handle full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice processing and vendor communication
- Assist with billing and Accounts Receivable activities
- Provide administrative support related to subcontracts
- Maintain accurate financial records with strong attention to detail
- Proactively support the team with a “how can I help” mindset
Qualifications:
- Experience in construction, engineering, or architecture industries strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (CRE) is a plus
- Hands-on experience with job costing and project-based accounting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Ability to work effectively in a fully on-site, team-oriented environment
