LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounting Manager to serve as the lead accountant for a large division within an industrial manufacturing organization. This role offers full responsibility for accounting operations, including general ledger management, cost accounting, and budgeting/forecasting. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and the ability to partner with operations and senior management to drive financial accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of divisional accounting, including month-end and year-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Lead cost accounting processes, ensuring accurate tracking of inventory, labor, and overhead costs; analyze variances and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts; provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and present P&L analysis, variance reports, and key performance metrics to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls; coordinate audits and maintain documentation.
- Collaborate with plant operations and corporate finance teams to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including cost accounting and budgeting in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite full-time and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Compensation:
$115,000-135,000
