What You'll Do:
- Perform bank, account, and general ledger reconciliations
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and payment application
- Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and account tie-outs
- Maintain and update financial records and documentation
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances
- Support cash applications and track incoming/outgoing payments
- Assist with data cleanup and organization of financial records
- Partner with internal teams to resolve accounting issues
- Use Excel for reporting, reconciliations, and data analysis
- Experience with account reconciliations and financial recordkeeping
- Knowledge of AP/AR processes
- Ability to complete bank reconciliations independently
- Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, sorting, filtering, reporting)
- 2 years of similar accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Nonprofit or mission-driven organization experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience with Sage, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems
