You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on complex cases in a culture that emphasizes professionalism, teamwork, and high-quality client service.
Responsibilities:
- Open new matters, run conflict checks, and assist with initial client intake
- Support motion practice, discovery, and overall case progression
- Manage deadlines, calendaring, and docketing to ensure timely filings
- Prepare, format, and proofread pleadings, correspondence, and court filings
- Handle state and federal e-filing and ensure compliance with court rules
- Coordinate meetings, manage attorney calendars, and assist with scheduling
- Maintain organized electronic case files within the document management system
- Communicate with clients in a professional and composed manner, including in sensitive or emotional situations
- 5 years of litigation legal assistant or practice assistant experience
- Strong litigation and trial experience required
- Trust & estate litigation experience is a plus; TEDRA experience preferred but not required
- Experience supporting high-volume, deadline-driven litigation practices
- Strong understanding of state and federal court rules and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret court rules and rulings
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills, particularly when working with high-net-worth clients
- Professional, detail-oriented, and able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment
