Legal Practice Assistant - Trust & Estate Litigation
Role Overview
LHH has partnered with a Seattle-based law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Practice Assistant to support a Trust & Estate Litigation practice. This position supports a team handling complex, high-stakes matters and is well-suited for someone who brings strong litigation experience, sound judgment, and the ability to remain composed and professional in emotionally sensitive situations.
This role combines traditional litigation practice assistant responsibilities with select executive-level administrative support and offers meaningful involvement in cases that often proceed through trial.
Schedule & Hybrid Arrangement

Work Model: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week
Salary Range: $70,000-$110,000 annually

Schedule & Hybrid Arrangement
- Standard office hours: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
- Flexible start times typically between 7:30-8:30 a.m.
- Hybrid schedule averaging 3 days onsite / 2 remote to start
- Opportunity for additional remote flexibility over time
- Virtual training and onboarding provided
- Initiate new client matters, coordinate conflicts checks, and manage intake documentation
- Support litigation workflows including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Draft templates and shells for filings, including service lists and procedural documents
- File pleadings and manage service in compliance with court rules
- Track deadlines, maintain case calendars, and monitor activity across active matters
- Assist attorneys managing a high-volume caseload where cases frequently proceed to trial
- Maintain organized electronic files and litigation records
- Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional and composed manner
- Five or more years of litigation support experience preferred (three years minimum considered)
- Demonstrated experience supporting trial-oriented litigation practices
- Ability to manage high volumes of work with competing deadlines
- Strong understanding of court rules and filing requirements
- Prior trust & estate litigation experience is helpful but not required
- Experience working on emotionally complex matters strongly valued
- Clear, confident communicator with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable managing up and keeping attorneys on track
Experience with litigation support tools such as:
- Microsoft Office
- Document management systems
- Docketing and calendaring platforms
- Timekeeping and matter management software
- Supports multiple litigation attorneys and a paralegal
- Part of a collaborative Trust & Estates practice group
- Works within a shared-support model while maintaining primary attorney relationships
- Reports to a Practice Assistant Supervisor
