We're looking for an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to join their San Francisco team and help ensure the clients receive accurate, timely, and compliant billing support. The ideal candidate will have an aim of delivering a high level of customer service internally and externally as they perform the tasks noted. About the RoleIn this role, you'll handle billing for assigned attorneys and matters while working closely with colleagues across the firm. You'll be a key partner to attorneys, accounting, and clients-helping answer questions, solve problems, and keep everything running smoothly.What You'll DoSubmit invoices through various electronic billing platforms and follow up on rejections or appealsHelp resolve billing questions from attorneys and clients in a timely, professional wayReview and update pre-bills based on attorney feedback and client requirementsTrack billing adjustments, write-offs, and carry-forwards, flagging issues when neededMake sure client and matter setups align with rate agreements and billing guidelinesPrepare and manage monthly invoicesCreate reports as needed related to billing, pre billing and client accounts What We're Looking ForAt least two years of legal billing experienceHands-on experience with multiple e-billing vendor platformsFamiliarity with outside counsel guidelines and complex billing arrangementsStrong attention to detail with solid organizational and problem-solving skillsComfort working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF toolsExperience with ProLaw preferred will welcome candidates with similar legal software experience. ( Aderant, Elite, or 3E) Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred (Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field)Experience in a high volume billing role.
