What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Administrative Assistant position at LHH US?
LHH is partnering with our law firm client in seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys in a fast-paced insurance defense practice. This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication and organizational skills.
Job Duties:
• Draft, revise, and format legal documents and correspondence
• Coordinate and schedule depositions
• Manage mailings, deliveries, copy requests, and court filings (both paper and electronic) as required
• Handle administrative tasks, special projects, and overflow work as assigned
• Maintain attorney calendars and manage email, phone communications, and mail flow
• Liaise professionally with clients, vendors, courts, agencies, and firm personnel via phone, email, and in person
• Process and submit expense reports, invoices, and check requests in a timely manner
• Organize and maintain client and firm files, including opening and closing files in accordance with firm procedures
• Update and maintain databases for client records and documentation
• Follow firm policies and procedures while effectively managing workload and time off to support attorney needs
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of recent civil litigation experience, preferably in Insurance Defense and Medical Malpractice
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and similar tools
• Self-motivated with a proactive, service-oriented approach to supporting professionals
• Commitment to professionalism, collaboration, and teamwork
Anticipated salary range $50K to $65K
