HR Specialist
Location: Hopatcong, NJ Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite Type: Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: $24-$27/hour
Job Summary
We are seeking an HR Specialist to support day-to-day human resources operations for an onsite team in Hopatcong, NJ. This contract-to-hire role will partner closely with HR leadership and employees to ensure smooth execution of core HR functions, employee support, and compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions and support
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including new hire paperwork and orientation
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation (electronic and physical files)
- Support employee relations, benefits administration, and time & attendance tracking
- Assist with payroll processing by providing accurate employee data and updates
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies
- Support HR initiatives, audits, and special projects as needed
- Collaborate with management on employee communications and HR best practices
- 2 years of experience in an HR support, HR Specialist, or HR Generalist role
- Working knowledge of HR processes, employment laws, and compliance requirements
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); HRIS experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, onsite environment
