Human Resources Coordinator

Location: Fairfield, NJ
Schedule: 100% Onsite
Compensation: Up to $30/hour

Duration: Covering a Leave

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources professional to support day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced environment. This role will play a key part in the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, reporting, and administrative HR support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and excels at building relationships while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field and/or 3 years of HR experience
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience working in or exposure to HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now a plus)
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Customer-service focused with a professional, responsive approach
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Proactive, self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Hire & Onboarding

• Send templated communications to hiring managers and HR Business Partners upon offer acceptance
• Serve as a point of contact for candidates, responding to questions and providing regular updates
• Communicate status updates to candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, and HRBP; escalate delays as needed
• Send onboarding instructions and welcome communications to new hires
• Initiate ServiceNow tickets for new hire access and system setup
• Maintain and update HR planning tools to ensure onboarding progress is tracked in real time
• Complete employment verifications as needed

Post-Hire Administration

• Enter new hire information into ADP
• Coordinate and distribute welcome kits
• Process business card requests and respond to onboarding-related inquiries

Reporting & Administrative Support

• Prepare and distribute reports for internal departments (new hires, promotions, anniversaries)
• Generate and send quarterly reports
• Submit invoices through internal systems and resolve outstanding issues
• Monitor and manage the HR inbox, ensuring timely responses or escalation
• Coordinate employee recognition and support initiatives (e.g., condolence outreach)

Additional Responsibilities

• Provide general administrative HR support as needed
• Assist with special projects and process improvements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Pay Details: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour
