This is a fully onsite, patient-facing role based primarily in Shrewsbury, with occasional support at a satellite office in Toms River (approximately three times per month). The locations are within reasonable driving distance of communities such as Wall Township, Point Pleasant Beach, Bay Head, and Spring Lake.This opportunity is ideal for a medical front office professional who thrives in a structured clinical environment, enjoys interacting with patients, and takes pride in keeping daily operations running smoothly.What You'll Be DoingThis role serves as the operational hub of the practice and the first point of contact for patients. Responsibilities include:Opening and closing the office and supporting daily front desk operationsWelcoming patients in person and over the phone with professionalism and empathyScheduling appointments efficiently to support provider workflows and patient satisfactionRegistering patients accurately and maintaining up-to-date demographic and account informationCollecting patient payments and verifying financial details as neededCommunicating patient arrival status to clinical staff and helping manage patient flowAssisting patients by answering questions and easing concerns during check-inManaging incoming and outgoing faxes and maintaining organized medical recordsMonitoring office supplies and coordinating replenishment before shortages occurSupporting providers at a nearby satellite office several times per monthFollowing all HIPAA and OSHA standards and handling sensitive information with discretionPerforming additional administrative duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDAt least two years of experience in a medical office settingComfort working with electronic health records and practice management systemsStrong organizational skills with excellent attention to detailClear, professional written and verbal communication skillsConfident, courteous phone presenceAbility to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinical environmentProficiency with standard office equipment (fax, copier, scanner)Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams in a Windows environmentPreferred (Not Required):Experience in orthopedics, spine, or another surgical specialtySpanish language fluencyWork RequirementsThis is an onsite role; remote work is not available Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
