Accounts Payable Specialist - Construction IndustryLocation: IndianapolisType: Contract-to-HireIndustry: Commercial Construction Pay $ 23 - 25/hr.OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with a background in the construction industry to join a fast-paced, deadline-driven finance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience processing high-volume invoices, three-way matching, managing subcontractor payments, and working with construction-specific systems such as Viewpoint, Procore, CMiC, Sage 300/Timberline, or similar.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess a high volume of vendor and subcontractor invoices with accuracy and timelinessPerform three-way matching (purchase order, packing slip, invoice)Manage payment cycles, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactionsReview and verify subcontractor compliance documents (COIs, W-9s, lien waivers)Maintain and reconcile AP aging reportsResearch and resolve invoice discrepanciesAssist with monthly and year-end close as neededCommunicate with vendors, project managers, and internal teams to resolve AP issuesSupport job cost accounting and coding to the correct projects, phases, and cost codesEnsure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and construction compliance standardsRequired Qualifications2 years of accounts payable experience (construction industry experience strongly preferred)Familiarity with construction job cost accountingExperience with ERP/Accounting systems such as Viewpoint, CMiC, Procore, Sage 300 (Timberline), QuickBooks, or equivalentStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentIntermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred)Excellent communication and customer service skillsPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of lien waiver processes, certified payroll, and compliance trackingExperience supporting multiple project teamsUnderstanding of AIA billing formats is a plusPay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hourSearch managed by: Elisia Bybee Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
