Overview
This role supports a high-volume Accounts Payable team focused on resolving invoice discrepancies related to inventory purchases. The position is open due to an internal promotion and offers long-term potential in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
Work Arrangement
- Mostly remote
- On-site requirement: 1 day per month for team or leadership meetings
- Training: 1 day on-site; remaining training completed remotely
- Candidates must be local and open to commuting if on-site expectations increase
- Review and process invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Research invoice discrepancies and determine appropriate resolution
- Communicate with internal departments and vendors to resolve issues
- Enter and update data within accounting and ERP systems
- Reconcile accounts and correct discrepancies
- Manage high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy
- Collaborate with team members on related tasks as needed
- Automated ticketing system (team transitioning to a new AI-driven platform)
- ERP system experience preferred (any system acceptable)
- Microsoft Office Suite required (Outlook & Excel used daily)
- Web-based meeting tools used for training
- 8-hour workday
- Start time between 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM (consistent schedule required)
- Choice of 30-minute or 1-hour lunch (must remain consistent)
- Two 15-minute paid breaks daily
- 1 year of accounting experience preferred
- Open to candidates with strong transferable skills (customer service, operations, administrative support)
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Self-directed, dependable, and professional communicator
- Willing to pick up the phone to resolve issues quickly
- Degree not required
- Dress Code: Business Casual
- Pre-employment requirements include background check and drug screen
- Target start: Week of May 18
- Monday preferred, flexibility for mid-week start
