Accounts Receivable Specialist

A well-established property management company is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to support their accounting team on a temp to hire basis. This role is ideal for an AR clerk or specialist who is comfortable managing high-volume transactions, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal teams and tenants.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts receivable and reconcile tenant accounts
• Perform cash application and accurately post daily receipts
• Handle collections, following up on past-due balances with professionalism and consistency
• Communicate tenant account discrepancies and resolve in a timely manner
• Prepare AR aging reports.
• Maintain accurate documentation and provide a high level of customer service internally and externally.
• Partner with property managers and accounting leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting

Qualifications

• 2 years of accounts receivable experience required
• Hands-on experience with collections, cash application, and account reconciliation
• Prior AR experience in a customer focused role
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel
