LHH is partnering with a well-established, mission-driven organization to identify an experienced Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist to support core finance and people operations. This highly trusted role is ideal for someone who thrives in a deadline-driven environment, values accuracy and compliance, and enjoys supporting employees and leadership across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and route vendor invoices through accounts payable systems for approval and payment.Assign accurate general ledger and departmental coding to invoices and expenses.Enter invoices not processed through automation tools directly into the accounting system.Prepare and execute regular payment runs in a timely and accurate manner.Review and code corporate card transactions across multiple departments.Review and process employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company policyPrepare and process payroll-related adjustments, including final pay and off-cycle checksRespond to payroll-related agency and employee inquiriesProcess wage garnishments and employment verifications within required timelines.Assist with payroll tax notices and coordinate resolutions with third-party payroll providers.Reconcile benefit carrier invoices against payroll deductions and resolve discrepancies.Support employee onboarding and benefits changes within the benefits administration platform.Process legally required notices related to benefits and dependent coverage.Coordinate workers' compensation wage statements and documentation as requested.Assist with office and operational purchasing through approved vendors.Qualifications3 years of experience in a similar roleExperience working with accounting, payroll, expense, or benefits systems; ERP experience is a plus.Intermediate skills with Microsoft ExcelHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines.Proven discretion in handling confidential employee and financial information.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.Why This RoleThis is a hands-on, high-impact position within a stable organization that values accuracy, accountability, and collaboration.
