Accountant (Senior)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for a Senior Accountant for a hybrid, permanent position, for a company in the far Westend of Richmond, Virginia.

The Senior Accountant will support timely and accurate financial reporting, monthly close activities, reconciliations, variance analysis, internal controls, and audit support. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong technical skills, public accounting or audit experience, and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accounting support for the monthly financial close process, including account reconciliations, financial reviews, variance analysis, budget monitoring, and journal entry preparation or review.

• Ensure corporate reporting aligns with U.S. GAAP and applicable compliance standards.

• Support internal control enhancements and process improvement initiatives.

• Review monthly reconciliations and analyses prepared by staff accountants.

• Assist with the preparation and review of monthly and annual corporate financial statements.

• Prepare audit support schedules for external auditors.

• Complete special projects and ad hoc reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

• Meet assigned goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• CPA license required.

• Three to five years of experience in public accounting; auditing experience preferred.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and time management skills.

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm

• Hybrid schedule with three in-office days each week

• Salary range: $80,000 to $85,000, based on education and experience

• Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
