What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Counselor position at LGTC Group?
LGTC Group is currently seeking a highly organized and compassionate Lead Counselor to join our multidisciplinary team in Campbell. This full-time role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a leadership position and is passionate about providing structure and support within a mental health and eating disorder treatment setting.
Key Responsibilities
Program Oversight
- Manage day-to-day program operations for the San Jose site and escalate issues to leadership when needed
- Ensure clients are properly checked in, programs are initiated, and all authorizations are in place
- Audit daily client check-in/check-out forms
- Confirm group sessions are loaded into the EHR each week
- Ensure prior day attendee notes are completed and submitted
- Maintain updated inventory lists and ensure the milieu is clean and organized
- Monitor the ED Program Census and report any concerns
Schedule Management
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure full program coverage
- Handle PTO requests and coverage before approval
- Adjust schedules as needed to support client care and staff availability
- Maintain an updated PTO calendar
- Introduce a new theme for the program schedule each month
Floor Staff Oversight
- Supervise and support floor staff, ensuring adherence to LGTC policies and procedures
- Provide performance feedback, mentorship, and conflict resolution
- Lead daily staff huddles with leadership support
- Oversee onboarding for new floor staff, including training checklists and schedules
Orientations & Admissions
- Conduct client orientations to introduce services and expectations
- Send welcome emails to new clients as needed
Other Duties
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Clinical Director and Nutrition Director
