Our programs are designed to support clients with complex clinical needs through structured, high-quality care delivered by a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Overview:
The Licensed Therapist at LGTC provides comprehensive clinical care to adolescent and adult clients within Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) programs. This role includes individual, group, and family therapy within a structured, high-acuity treatment setting.

This position is ideal for clinicians who are collaborative, adaptable, and grounded in ethical, evidence-based, and culturally responsive care. The Licensed Therapist plays a key role in supporting clients with complex clinical presentations while contributing to a safe, structured, and engaging therapeutic environment.

Duties:

Clinical Care & Case Management

  • Maintain an individual caseload of adolescent and adult clients, providing comprehensive clinical care
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide ongoing case management and oversee discharge planning
  • Monitor client progress and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
  • Facilitate family and/or collateral sessions as clinically indicated

Group Therapy & Programming

  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, ensuring safety, engagement, and adherence to curriculum
  • Maintain the integrity of the therapeutic milieu while supporting diverse client needs

Crisis Intervention & Risk Management

  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment for clients presenting with acute needs
  • Support clients in distress through therapeutic check-ins and coordination with the treatment team
  • Exercise sound clinical judgment and escalate concerns appropriately

Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case presentations
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical staff, and program leadership to ensure continuity of care
  • Provide mentorship and clinical support to associate-level clinicians and behavioral staff as appropriate

Compliance, Ethics & Professional Development

  • Adhere to all California BBS regulations and professional ethical standards (CAMFT, NASW, ACA)
  • Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
  • Opportunity to provide supervision to associate-level clinicians (as eligible)

Program Support

  • Assist with group coverage and provide cross-program support as needed
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture focused on high-quality client care

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • Active, unrestricted California license (LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC) in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working in higher levels of care (IOP, PHP, residential, or inpatient) preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and underserved populations
  • Availability to work in-person, including late afternoon/evening hours

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
