Overview:
The Licensed Psychotherapist (Outpatient) at LGTC provides individual, couples, family, and/or child therapy in a primarily in-person setting. This role involves working with clients experiencing a broad range of mental health concerns, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
This position is ideal for clinicians who are independently licensed, clinically strong, and motivated to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary outpatient environment.
Duties:
Individual & Family Therapy
- Provide individual, couples, family, and/or child therapy based on clinical expertise and client needs
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as appropriate
- Provide psychoeducation to support client insight and growth
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards
- Uphold all ethical guidelines set forth by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and relevant professional organizations
Team Collaboration & Care Coordination
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and clinical collaboration
- Coordinate care with other mental health providers, case managers, and medical professionals as needed
Professional Development
- Engage in ongoing continuing education and professional development
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- Active, unrestricted license in California (e.g., LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD, PhD)
- Clinical experience providing therapy to diverse populations across age groups
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and underserved populations
- Availability to work in-person, including late afternoon/evening hours
