About the Role
Director of Sales — New Construction Homes- Position Based Full Time in Chattanooga, TN.
This is a full-time, on-site Director of Sales role based in Chattanooga, TN. As one of LFG Homes' early sales leadership hires, the Director of Sales will build our new construction sales function from the ground up — recruiting and developing the sales team, establishing the systems, processes, and infrastructure that support it, and implementing sales strategies that drive revenue growth and absorption across all LFG Homes communities. This is a builder role for a young, fast-growing company: you are not inheriting a turnkey operation, you are creating it.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full new home sales operation — from first model home visit through contract, construction milestones, and closing — including pipeline management, sales process design, forecasting, and reporting to senior leadership.
- Partner closely with marketing, construction, and customer experience teams to align sales initiatives with community launches, phase releases, spec home inventory, and buyer feedback.
- Hire, coach, and mentor on-site sales agents, ensuring an exceptional buyer experience through the entire build-to-close journey.
- Monitor local market trends and competing builders.
- Manage builder-buyer financing relationships.
- Represent LFG Homes at events, model homes, and community grand openings.
Qualifications
- Extensive new construction home sales experience is required — proven track record meeting or exceeding revenue and unit/absorption goals selling newly built homes. Candidates without new home sales experience will not be considered.
- Must work on-site in Chattanooga, TN every working day — relocation supported and commuters welcome, but daily physical presence in Chattanooga is required; no remote or hybrid.
- Proven ability to build a sales function from scratch — experience standing up or significantly scaling a sales team, processes, and infrastructure, ideally at an early-stage or fast-growing company.
- Demonstrated strength in team management, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of new home sales professionals.
- Deep understanding of the new construction sales cycle, including spec/inventory homes, build-job sales, phase releases, options and upgrades, and construction-to-close coordination.
- Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to guide buyers through the extended build-to-close journey and handle complex buyer needs.
- Knowledge of the local Chattanooga and regional homebuilding market — competing builders, communities, pricing, and absorption — strongly preferred.
- Background in business development: identifying new communities, REALTOR® partnerships, and growth opportunities within residential new construction.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can execute in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment without a pre-built playbook.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary : $125,000 - $185,000
