Role Description The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on site position with on-call rotation
Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine and emergency maintenance in apartments or townhome communities, including daily work, order tickets and completing turn of apartments.
The role involves conducting preventive maintenance, inspecting property conditions, assisting with grounds and trash, coordinating with vendors ordering, and receiving supplies, and maintaining accurate service records. The Maintenance Technician will collaborate with property manager and other team members to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for residents, tenants, and visitors, while adhering to company standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Apartment or Commercial Maintenance & Repair for building systems and facility infrastructure.
- Experience in Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance practices to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment and property assets.
- Background in Apartment Maintenance, including familiarity with tools, safety procedures, ability to repair or replace plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, items related in apartment living.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and basic schematics.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and willingness to follow company safety protocols at all times.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, tenants, and colleagues.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or related fields is preferred.
- Relevant work experience in property, facilities, or building maintenance, ideally in commercial or residential real estate.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
