Lexington Medical Lodge is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to manage the patient intake process at our 128-bed facility in Farmersville. You will act as the primary point of contact for hospitals, families, and residents, ensuring that every admission is clinically and financially cleared before arrival.
Our facility is a VA-contracted site and a member of the BSW Health Quality Alliance. We provide a workspace equipped with the necessary tools to manage census effectively, from clinical assessment resources to established relationships with local referral sources. Pay, Schedule & Benefits
- Pay: $25-28/hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday (Occasional weekend/holiday coordination as needed).

As the Admissions Coordinator, you will work out of a spacious lobby environment that serves as the hub for our Rapid-Recovery program and long-term care services. The culture here is focused on a patient-centered, interdisciplinary approach, meaning you will have direct access to the Director of Nursing and Administration to make timely placement decisions.
Responsibilities
- Receive and respond to all inquiries and referrals from area hospitals and internet sources.
- Conduct clinical bedside assessments at referring institutions to determine appropriateness for admission.
- Coordinate with the business office to verify insurance coverage and obtain financial approval.
- Maintain the Daily Census Log and provide accurate reports on available beds.
- Perform interviews with residents or guardians to obtain required information and signatures.
- Notify all facility departments of anticipated admissions and coordinate room assignments with Nursing.
- Conduct facility tours for potential residents and their families.
- Ensure all admission paperwork is completed accurately and uploaded into the electronic record system within 24 hours of arrival.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare admissions, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Competencies: Strong verbal communication skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and managed care regulations.
