Lexington Center for Recovery - one of the Hudson Valley’s largest and most established providers of substance use disorder treatment, continues to grow and expand services throughout the region. We are seeking a Per diem /Part time Physician to join our mission-driven team to support our Sullivan County Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) clinic.
The Supervising Physician will provide medical leadership and clinic oversight for substance use disorder treatment services, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care for individuals and families affected by addiction. This role works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care, program development, and compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Work in collaboration with Medical Director to provide medical leadership and clinic oversight for the Sullivan County OTP clinic.
- Conduct medical evaluations and treatment eligibility assessments for patients entering treatment programs.
- Prescribe and manage medications related to substance use disorder treatment and withdrawal manage3ment in the outpatient setting.
- Evaluate and recommend medical treatment and assess medical needs for patients.
- Collaborate with clinical, counseling, and case management staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure compliance with DEA federal and New York State OTP regulations and clinical standards.
- Provide consultation and guidance to clinical staff regarding patient care and treatment planning.
- Participate in case conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and program development efforts.
- Job duties may include serving as the supervising physician for nurse practitioners or physician assistants, and collaborating closely with Advanced Practice Provider (APP), in accordance with New York State regulations.
- Responsible for light on-call duties, including providing coverage for the clinic on weekends or remote patient support when not on-site.
Qualifications
- Commitment to community-based care, with experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, substance use treatment or opioid treatment programs (OTP) strongly preferred
- Medical Doctor (MD) licensed in New York State in good standing
- DEA Registration required
- Strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and collaborative team environments
- Board certification or eligibility in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry (preferred but not required)
Schedule
· Per-Diem or Part-Time: 10-20 hours per week
· Schedule flexibility may be available depending on program needs.
