Lexington Center for Recovery, the Hudson Valley’s largest provider of outpatient and residential substance use disorder services, is seeking a full-time Peer Support Specialist for our 47-bed community residence located within Garnet Health Medical Center in Harris, NY. The Peer Support Specialist provides recovery support services to individuals with substance use disorders within our residential and stabilization programs. Using lived recovery experience, this role helps clients engage in treatment, build recovery skills, access community resources, and maintain recovery supports throughout treatment.
Responsibilities include providing peer mentorship, facilitating peer support groups, supporting care coordination, and assisting clients both within the program and in the community in accordance with OASAS regulations and agency policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid CRPA or CRPA-P certification required
- CRPA-P Eligible
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must successfully meet all OASAS background check clearance requirements
- Experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder services preferred
