Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting daily practice sessions and team meetings.
- Provide instruction and guidance to student-athletes on bowling techniques, strategies, and game rules.
- Help develop and implement training programs that enhance individual and team performance.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of student-athletes, providing feedback and support to improve their skills.
- Support the organization and execution of team events, including matches, tournaments, and fundraising activities.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team matters.
- Assist in maintaining team equipment and ensuring a safe practice environment.
- Attend all team practices, competitions, and relevant meetings throughout the season.
Requirements
- Previous experience in coaching or playing bowling at a high school or collegiate level is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bowling techniques, strategies, and rules of the game.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with student-athletes, parents, and staff.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes while promoting teamwork and a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends during the bowling season.
