What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coalitions Manager - Interfaith position at Letitia James for Attorney General?
About the Campaign
James for NY is the re-election campaign of New York Attorney General Letitia James. Attorney General James has spent her career fighting for New Yorkers. We are building a statewide team that reflects New York and runs through Election Day, November 3, 2026
The Role
The Coalitions Manager for Interfaith Outreach builds and runs the campaign’s engagement with faith communities across New York — across denominations, traditions, and boroughs. You will develop relationships with clergy and lay leaders, build a faith leadership network of supporters, and create the calendar of visits, convenings, and moments that connect the Attorney General’s record to the communities of faith she has served.
What You'll Do
- Build the clergy network — develop and maintain relationships with faith leaders across traditions in every region of the state.
- Stand up a faith council — recruit and manage a faith leadership advisory council that gives the campaign a standing table with the state’s faith communities.
- Run the faith calendar — plan congregation visits, roundtables, and faith-community events for the Attorney General and surrogates, coordinated with the scheduling and regional teams.
- Develop validators — to speak on the record in their own communities and in the press.
- Cultural competency — ensure all engagement with faith communities are appropriate and respectful.
- Integrate with the field — connect faith outreach to the campaign’s regional and constituency programs so the work adds up.
