Role/Responsibilities

• Supporting the Logistics Department in daily tasks. Including but not limited to:
• Confirming and entering sales orders in real time with a high level of accuracy
• Submitting freight quotes for outbound shipments using the preferred software program(s) and brokerage networks (ex. Emerge)
• Proactively referring to the Flash for order status changes before requesting quotes
• Updating the Flash in real time as shipping appointments are confirmed
• Generating pallet labels, customs documentation and a variety of other shipping documentation as needed
• Accurate and timely updates to purchase orders when issues arise or revisions as necessary
• Communicating these changes to the appropriate parties when needed (ex. Warehouse Shipping Team)
• When a discrepancy arises (ex. Discontinued or OOS product is on SO), communicating with the customer and our internal team to find a resolution.
• Proving a cross-check to all data in the flash and comparing to order portals and sales orders, etc.
• Requesting delivery appointments and appointment changes through required portals
• Disputing LTL shipments and detention fees, as needed
• Providing general support when another team member is on PTO
• Supporting the Warehouse Logistics Coordinator in daily tasks as needed.
• Communicating clearly and effectively across departments and LesserEvil locations.
• Maintaining a high level of quality and customer service at all times.
• Identifying areas of improvement and suggesting solutions to maximize the efficiency in all logistics processes.
• Performing other related duties as directed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 2-3 years of work experience in lieu of degree
• 1 year experience with Netsuite or a comparable ERP system, preferred
• 1 years logistics experience, preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Ability to collaborate with different departments
• Proficient with Gmail, Excel and/or Google Sheets

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be willing to work in Danbury, CT
• Must have a reliable vehicle as daily trips between factory, warehouse, and office may be necessary
