Job Summary
Supporting multiple locations within our Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics' Business Unit, this position is based onsite in our Naval Electronics' Computing and Networks Center of Excellence, located in Johnstown, PA.
Job Responsibilities
- Under the direction of our Naval Electronics HR Leadership team, this position will perform a variety of HR tasks in support of the HR function including:
- Benefit Administration
- Recruiting
- Employee Relations
- Implementation of Policies and Procedures
- Training
- HRIS Support
- Employee Communications
- Employee Engagement
- May perform exit interviews with terminating employees
- May assist HR Lead with investigations involving harassment, EEOC, and similar types of claims ensuring legal compliance, as directed
- Comply with all state and federal regulations
- Working with third-party provider, research and resolve employee benefit problems and questions
- Assist with administration of leaves of absence including FMLA, workers’ compensation, and STD/LTD processes
- May process new hires and onboard new employees
- Ensure timely submittal, processing, tracking and auditing of employee data
- Collect data for the department for regulatory agencies, i.e., DCAA, EEO, AAP, internal audit teams, etc.
- May work closely with payroll department and may be required to assist with payroll processing
- Provide assistance throughout the recruiting process including but not limited to:
- Sourcing and screening candidates
- Scheduling and coordinating interviews
- Work closely with management at all levels
- Associate’s or bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic employment law and other government compliance regulations is preferred
- Ability to research and source different type of data information
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of various software packages, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, ADP, etc.
- MS Office skills required
- HRIS experience preferred
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
