CLM Midwest is a regional commercial facility maintenance contractor with a local presence who partners with some of the nation's leading retail, convenience store, and restaurant brands. We are a long-established, self-performing company that provides install, break/fix, and emergency services. This career opportunity is available for coverage on some of our most important key account(s). We are open to in-person / hybrid candidates in Chicagoland near our HQ, as well as remote candidates from other markets.
The account manager is responsible for servicing and strengthening the relationship between CLM and our clients. The person in this role is a key player in the partnership and solutions we provide. Daily problem solving and communication with a few assigned logos makes our team the "go-to" vendor for keeping their locations safe, functional, and maintained. Our account managers also work closely with internal dispatch, finance, and outside sales teams to tie the process together start to finish. The focus of this role is mostly operations with an inside sales component.
Besides delivering outstanding customer satisfaction to both external and internal customers, an account manager has responsibility for ensuring all client work is executed on time, on budget, profitable, and to each client’s unique expectations outlined by our service contracts with them. Successful candidates must have strong people and communications skills, be highly organized and business conscious, and be able to work in a fast-paced commercial maintenance environment.

Primary Responsibilities
- Facilitate delivering exceptional customer satisfaction
- Monitor dashboards and maps for ongoing work orders
- Developing business through organic growth on your accounts
- Point person for escalated client communications and initiatives
- Help manage client special projects, rollouts, and large/complex work orders
- Maintain and communicate client expectations
- Monitors compliance to service agreements
- Proactively communicate foreseeable changes to clients
- Participate in RFP and bid pricing and approval
- Assist with AR collection follow-ups with clients
- Occasional facility, client, and partner visits
- 3 to 5 years of customer management experience, enterprise account management is a plus
- 3 to 5 years of facilities maintenance, trades, or other service company experience
- Experience in a project management capacity including all aspects of process of communication and execution
- Time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once, prioritize them and complete by target date
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Financial literacy and general knowledge of business practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office products and WOM platforms (Service Channel, Corrigo, etc).
- Ability to delegate assignments and responsibilities with strong follow-up
