The Vice President, Organizational and Talent development will report to the Senior Vice President, Chief Talent Officer. The incumbent will be responsible for strategically advancing organizational effectiveness, leadership capability and talent development. This role ensures that leadership and talent strategies support the organization's Mission, Vision and Values, exceptional clinical outcomes and operational excellence. The VP will design, continuously evolve and implement comprehensive enterprise-wide programs, systems, methods and techniques that prepare the workforce to support organizational strategic objectives.

Essential Functions
Organizational Development:
- Lead Develop, evolve and execute system-wide strategies to strengthen organizational culture, engagement, and performance.
- Lead change management initiatives for major transformations and operational efficiency.
- Lead enterprise-wide OD initiatives including culture transformation, team effectiveness, and leadership capability building.
- Facilitate organizational assessments and interventions to improve performance and engagement.
- Build and oversee leadership development programs for executives and leaders across the organization, ensuring readiness for succession and future growth.
- Drive succession planning for leadership roles.
- Design and implement frameworks for change management, succession planning and talent readiness.
- Create learning strategies that support career growth for employees.
- Implement programs that enhance skills in patient-centered care, compliance, emerging healthcare technologies, and consumer focus.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on organizational design and talent strategy.
- Collaborate with Strategic HR, clinical leadership, and operational leaders to align development programs with system priorities.
- Build and manage relationships with academic institutions, industry partners, and professional organizations to enhance Texas Health's reputation and learning resources.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance THR's reputation and learning resources.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align OD and learning strategies with system goals.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning strategy for non-clinical staff and clinical leadership.
- Leverage AI and digital learning solutions.
- Establish ROI metrics to measure the learning impact and organizational outcomes.
Background, Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor's degree in education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Industrial/ Organizational Psychology, Business or related field required.*

- Master's degree in education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business or related field preferred.
- 7 years' experience with a successful track record of designing and executing leadership programs with experience in progressively responsible corporate education leadership positions in large, national or regional organizations that are similar in size and complexity to THR required.
- Experience in change management, leadership coaching and organizational design and effectiveness required.
- Healthcare industry experience is highly preferred but is not necessary if incumbent has strong relevant experience in a corporate environment preferred.
- Experience implementing digital learning strategies and leveraging AI and analytics in talent development preferred.
- Experience in the design and implementation of system solutions and change management, experience in data analysis, and experience working with senior executives required.
- Expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design, and facilitation of talent development.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, digital transformation trends (including AI), and learning technology.
- High level of planning skills coupled with the ability to think laterally and strategically. Effective at assessing needs, solving problems and delivering talent solutions that enable Texas Health to have the right talent in the right place at the right time.
- High level of communication, influencing and negotiation skills, coupled with ability to build relationships, influence, drive execution of organizational priorities, and maintain highest level of confidentiality at all times.
- Creative and innovative thinking that leverages internal and external best practices to align talent development efforts with organization goals and future workforce needs.
- Advanced organization and planning skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and balance competing priorities.
