Job Description

We are looking for a Payroll Coordinator to manage and execute the payroll process to ensure that employees are compensated accurately and promptly. This position demands a meticulous individual who can handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality. The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing, entering, approving, and auditing payroll data, and addressing any discrepancies or missing information to maintain seamless payroll operations. This position will be full-time and remote.

What You'll Do

  • Review timesheets and payroll data submissions for accuracy
  • Enter payroll information into the system while maintaining data integrity
  • Approve payroll transactions by verifying entries and ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Monitor employee timesheet submissions and identify any missing entries
  • Coordinate with employees and managers to address discrepancies and ensure timely submissions
  • Implement procedures to prevent future occurrences of missing or incorrect time entries
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with legal standards
  • Prepare and present payroll reports for management review
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies swiftly and efficiently
  • Serve as the point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and provide clear, helpful responses
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to facilitate smooth payroll operations
  • Educate employees on payroll processes and policies to foster understanding and compliance

Required

What You'll Need

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in payroll or HR administration
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and with discretion
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with employees and management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and labor laws is advantageous
  • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Workday

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

The pay range for this position is $38,000 - $40,000 annually (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.?
