In this role, you will work with suppliers through qualification processes, own supplier results and audits, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards, and drive improvement plans where needed. The Lead Manufacturing Engineer has direct knowledge of best practices and how their own area integrates with others and is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of thermal spray coatings discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
- Utilize thermal spray coatings experience to act as material and process expert during root cause investigations, Lean improvements, lead PFMEA workshops, and manage process improvement projects.
- Travel to suppliers for audits, problem solving where the work is done, and collaboration building a strong partnership. Utilizes data to drive results and improvements while standardizing work.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead projects with low risks and resource requirements
- Explains information, developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues
- Advances the technology of thermal spray internally within GE Aerospace and outside in the broader community.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Advanced Coatings & Manufacturing experience with an emphasis in Thermal Spray)
- Minimum of 3 additional years of Advanced Coatings and Manufacturing experience in Thermal Spray

- The salary range for this position is $112,000.00 - 149,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan.
