We are seeking a Help Desk Support Technician to join a growing service desk team. This role serves as the first point of contact for end users and is responsible for providing timely technical support, achieving first‑call resolution when possible, and escalating issues appropriately when needed. Ideal candidates will have a strong customer service mindset, solid troubleshooting fundamentals, and a desire to grow their technical skill set.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first level of technical support by responding to incoming phone calls and emails submitted to the help desk system
  • Open, update, and close support tickets accurately using help desk software
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and document issues related to password resets, hardware, software, Microsoft Office 365, and Active Directory
  • Escalate unresolved issues to higher‑level support teams in a timely manner to ensure proper resolution
  • Research and resolve basic technical issues, escalating items that cannot be resolved within established timeframes
  • Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts while maintaining accurate system documentation
  • Guide end users through step‑by‑step troubleshooting to restore services
  • Re‑image desktops and laptops using standard imaging tools when required
  • Thoroughly document issues, troubleshooting steps, testing, and resolutions within tickets
  • Continuously build knowledge of supported hardware, software, and networking technologies
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Track and record time spent on work orders and projects accurately
  • Follow established safety guidelines, procedures, and quality standards

Required Skills

  • Help Desk / Service Desk support experience
  • Technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to document work clearly and professionally
  • Team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Up to 1 year of help desk or technical support experience
  • Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred, not required)
  • Experience supporting Microsoft operating systems, Office 365, and desktop/laptop hardware
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and basic user account management

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.32 - $18.95/hr.
