As a Cloud Engineer, you'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to accelerating our journey to the cloud. You'll work with cutting-edge cloud-native stacks and technologies, contributing to innovative architectures and services. Our team is the starting point for all security capabilities, guardrail definitions, and service enablement for our AWS environment.
Pay: $72-$77/hr
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Responsibilities
W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.

Responsibilities
- Design, scale, and deploy cloud security controls and services.
- Build processes and workflows for seamless integration of IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS cloud services.
- Develop APIs in Python to enhance our cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure advanced security and compliance for a seamless user experience.
- Collaborate across teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Build comprehensive security controls to enforce policy.
- Support technologists deploying to the public cloud
- 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, security, and compliance.
- Proficiency in developing APIs, particularly in Python.
- Strong understanding of AWS cloud services.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and security tooling for cloud-native deployments.
- Experience with deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and infrastructure-as-code technologies.
- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
- Ability to work with YAML and JSON markup languages.
- Understanding of cloud service delivery models (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) and related technologies.
- Ability to mentor and train team members in cloud technologies.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Bachelors degree
