Lenape Valley Foundation (LVF) is seeking a Safety Officer Coordinator to provide leadership and oversight for safety and security operations across all LVF programs in Doylestown and Bristol, including the soon to open Bright Path Center. This is a newly created role designed to strengthen consistency, supervision, and quality in safety practices across multiple locations.
The Safety Officer Coordinator serves as a working supervisor, overseeing Safety Officers while ensuring that all safety procedures are implemented in a trauma‑informed, person‑centered approach. This role plays a vital part in maintaining safe environments for individuals served, staff, and visitors.

What You Bring

HS Diploma or GED required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, behavioral health, public safety or a related field preferred

Minimum 3 years’ experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
- 1-2 years’ experience in a lead, senior, or supervisory safety role
- Experience working with individuals in crisis or behavioral health settings
- Demonstrated ability to manage emergencies and safety concerns effectively
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high stress situations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without accommodation
Your Role
This newly created Safety Officer Coordinator role offers the opportunity to shape and strengthen safety operations across multiple locations, provide mentorship and leadership to staff, and play a meaningful role in supporting individuals receiving behavioral health services. Key responsibilities include:
Lead safety operations across LVF programs in Doylestown and Bristol, including the new Bright Path Center- Support and supervise Safety Officers, providing coaching, guidance, and on‑the‑floor leadership
- Respond to safety incidents and emergencies with a calm, trauma‑informed approach
- Assist with de‑escalation and crisis situations, helping maintain safe, respectful environments
- Oversee searches, inspections, and contraband control with dignity and professionalism
- Coordinate staffing coverage and support clear shift communication to ensure safe, consistent care delivery
- Partner with clinical and leadership teams to promote consistent, person‑centered safety practices
- Document incidents and safety checks clearly and accurately
