Overview
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supporting all daily distribution center (DC) operations. This role ensures operational excellence and effective staff management, drives safety, productivity and accurate inventory management, and helps execute strategic initiatives in the warehouse.
This position operates in a Warehouse environment that includes variable temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.
Job Functions
- Oversees overall DC operations including Picking, Packing, Replenishment, Truck, Receiving, and Tires
- Continuously monitors and ensures operational KPIs are consistently achieved while proactively identifying, resolving, or escalating operational issues impacting service, efficiency, or safety
- Leads daily labor planning and resource allocation to optimize productivity and service levels
- Partners with HR and the DC Manager, regarding hiring, onboarding, training, corrective actions, and employee relations
- Leads and reinforces a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies by reviewing incident reports and partnering with the safety team to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Oversees inventory accuracy, cycle count programs, and reconciliation efforts to maintain high inventory integrity
- Ensures effective use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and operational reporting tools to analyze operational and inventory data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and drive improvements
- Supports system implementations, operational upgrades, and cross-functional projects
- Drives standardization of processes and adoption of best practices across DC departments
- Prepares and reviews operational reports and communicates key insights, including performance results, risks, and action plans, to the DC Manager and relevant stakeholders
- Maintains strict confidentiality · Performs other duties and/or tasks as assigned

Education Level Details
Associate's Degree Preferred in logistics, supply chain management or business management; or equivalent relevant work experience
Experience Level Details
4-6 Years Warehouse or distribution environment, with leadership or supervisory responsibilities
Physical Demands
- Must be able to move inside the warehouse while carrying product frequently
- Must be able to communicate verbally and written frequently
- Must be able to read from a screen frequently
- Must be able to ascend/descend ladders and stairs frequently
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to stand/walk for 7 hours a day frequently
