Overview

The Distribution Associate I is an entry-level role responsible for performing one or two core distribution functions that include either picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and/or stocking. Associates in this role are expected to learn Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), follow safety and quality guidelines, maintain safety standards, and support efficient daily operations.

This position operates in a Warehouse environment that includes variable temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.

Job Functions

• Performs one or two core distribution tasks, meeting performance, safety, and quality expectations across the core distribution departments (picking, packing, and receiving).
• Performs shipping tasks, including staging, labeling, loading, and verifying outbound orders.
• Receives inbound shipments, inspects for damage or discrepancies, sorts materials, and updates inventory systems.
• Stocks and replenishes inventory locations, supporting cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
• Adheres to all company safety rules, regulations, and PPE requirements.
• Operates distribution equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks).
• Maintains housekeeping and safety standards to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
• Follows SOPs consistently within assigned work areas and seeks clarification when needed.
• Maintains strict confidentiality.
• Performs other duties and/or tasks as assigned.
