Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum & Instruction
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons aligned with early childhood standards.
- Incorporate play, storytelling, music, art, and movement into daily activities.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Classroom Management
- Establish a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
- Guide children in developing social skills, self-regulation, and independence.
- Maintain routines that support stability and predictability.
- Assessment & Communication
- Observe and document student progress and developmental milestones.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student growth and needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to support student success.
- Professional Standards
- Adhere to state licensing requirements and school policies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
- Model respect, empathy, and enthusiasm for learning.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required/preferred depending on employer).
- State teaching certification/licensure for Pre-K or Early Childhood (as applicable).
- Prior experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to foster creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning.
- Full-time, school-year schedule.
- Classroom environment with active engagement in indoor and outdoor activities.
