- Provide high-quality massage therapy treatments—including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, prenatal, and hot stone (if applicable)—based on guest needs and preferences.
- Set up and break down all massage equipment in guest rooms or wellness spaces while maintaining strict cleanliness and privacy standards.
- Deliver a calm, professional, and welcoming service environment that aligns with the lodge’s hospitality values.
- Consult with guests prior to each session to assess needs, goals, and any health considerations.
- Maintain proper licensure, liability insurance, and industry standards of practice at all times.
- Adhere to all state and local regulations for massage therapy, sanitation, and client care.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding guest information and ensure professional boundaries.
- Follow all lodge safety, emergency, and communication protocols.
- Manage your own schedule, arrival timing, and session pacing to ensure punctuality and seamless guest flow.
- Keep massage equipment, linens, and supplies clean, sanitized, and well-organized.
- Communicate supply needs or schedule updates to lodge leadership as required.
- Assist with promoting wellness services and supporting lodge guest experience initiatives when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Current state license/certification for massage therapy.
- Professional liability insurance.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to/from the lodge for sessions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a luxury hospitality environment.
- Preferred:
- 2 years of massage therapy experience, especially in spa, resort, or mobile environments.
- Training in specialty modalities (hot stone, cupping, aromatherapy, etc.).
- Experience with high-end guest service.
- Ability to lift and transport massage table and supplies (up to 40 lbs).
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, or perform massage techniques for extended periods.
- Competitive per-session rate or commission structure.
