Unlike a traditional warehouse setting, this role is based within our luxury retail environment and plays a direct role in maintaining the elevated presentation Leigh’s is known for. Our shipping and receiving has its own workspace to accommodate all our incoming and outgoing shipments.
We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Manager to take ownership of all merchandise flow within our store and is hands on for all processes. This is a key operational role responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, organization, and the timely movement of product from delivery to the selling floor.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-driven—someone who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and keeps operations running seamlessly behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all incoming and outgoing shipments with accuracy and efficiency
- Receive, process, and enter merchandise into the inventory system
- Verify all product details and resolve discrepancies quickly
- Ensure merchandise is floor-ready (tagged, hung, steamed) in a timely manner
- Manages all returns, and client shipments
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient back-of-house environment
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflow
- Able to look at efficient and cost effective ways for us to manage our shipments
- Partner with the selling team and buyers to support business needs
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Systematic in process
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and computer/data entry skills
- Shipping and receiving experience in a retail (ideally in fashion) environment preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
Position Type: Full-time: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm (occasionally hours will vary)
