The RN House Supervisor oversees nursing staff and daily clinical operations within the Skilled Nursing Facility to ensure safe, high-quality resident care. Reporting to Nurse Leadership, this role coordinates admissions, discharges, and care plans; conducts daily rounds; and ensures accurate documentation and compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements. The RN House Supervisor provides leadership support to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, promotes teamwork and professionalism, and serves as a clinical resource for staff, residents, and families.

RN House Supervisor Position Summary
The RN House Supervisor oversees nursing staff and daily clinical operations within the Skilled Nursing Facility to ensure safe, high-quality resident care. Reporting to Nurse Leadership, this role coordinates admissions, discharges, and care plans; conducts daily rounds; and ensures accurate documentation and compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements. The RN House Supervisor provides leadership support to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, promotes teamwork and professionalism, and serves as a clinical resource for staff, residents, and families.
This position is responsible for addressing staffing needs, responding to clinical or operational issues during assigned shifts, and assisting with staff supervision and performance oversight. In the absence of senior nursing leadership, the RN House Supervisor may handle urgent disciplinary matters and ensure continuity of care. The role requires an active Florida RN license, prior nursing leadership experience, strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working varied shifts, including weekends or holidays as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida (required)
- Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Long-Term Care, or Acute Care setting
- At least two (2) years of supervisory or managerial experience in a healthcare environment
- Strong knowledge of infection control standards, CMS guidelines, and survey readiness
- Experience with staff education, training, and competency assessments
- Certification in Infection Prevention & Control (CIC) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to supervise and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with basic computer systems; PointClickCare (PCC) knowledge preferred
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, or varied shifts as needed
- Physical ability to perform job-related duties in a clinical environment
