What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respiratory Therapist position at Legacy Personnel, Inc.?
Job Description:
- Patient Assessment: Examining patients with breathing issues, analyzing blood/sputum, and conducting lung capacity tests.
- Treatment Administration: Providing oxygen, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy to improve breathing.
- Life Support/Ventilation: Managing, setting up, and operating mechanical ventilators for patients unable to breathe on their own.
- Emergency Response: Providing, emergency care, including artificial respiration, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- Documentation: Updating patient records, consulting with physicians on treatment plans, and assisting with discharge planning.
- Patient Education: Teaching patients and families how to manage diseases and use home equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS and Requirements:
o Must have reliable Car with a valid driver’s license.
o Must be able to legally work in the United States.
o Must be able to pass a background check.
o Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
o At least 3year's respiratory experience in the hospital setting.
o Current BLS/BCLS
o RRT
